Established in 1975, Iain Marr Antiques in Beauly is one of the oldest and best antique shops in the North Highlands. The only Highland member of the London & Provincial Antique Dealers Association and members of The Highland Antique Dealers Association, The Silver Society and founder members of Sotheby’s.com, Iain Marr specializes in militaria and weapons, paintings, watches and clocks, porcelain and glass and gold & silver jewellery.

Alder Arts, also located in Beauly, are specialists in 18th and 19th century Scottish oils and watercolours, and operate in association with the Scottish Fine Art Group. In fact, propreitor Ken Handiman has been closely involved in curating the Links House art collection.

Castle Close Antiques is situated just a short stroll from Links House in the centre of Dornoch, adjacent to the cathedral. Specialists in furniture, porcelain and pottery, silver, jewellery, paintings and decorative arts the shop has been open for over 25 years. Conveniently, Castle Close Antiques offer a worldwide shipping service.

Auldearn Antiques in the village of Auldearn, two miles to east of Nairn is a family-run antique and architectural reclamation business. Established over a quarter of a century ago, Auldearn Antiques stocks an ever-changing plethora of furniture, porcelain, fireplaces, vintage clothing, decorative items and architectural and garden items – perfect if you are planning a makeover of your house or holiday home.

Leakey’s Bookshop was established in 1979 and has been housed for the last 20 years in the old Gaelic Church (1793). It is Scotland’s largest secondhand bookshop with 100,000 selected volumes.
