Anta in the nearby village of Fearn produces and sells a range of fantastic products – including fabric, throws, carpets, rugs, cushions, stoneware, lighting, furniture, menswear and womenswear – with most products incorporating their tasteful and unique signature tartan and tweed patterns. All their products are made in Scotland.

Brodie Country Fare near Brodie Castle to the east of Nairn is one the Highland’s best shopping experiences. With a foodhall and delicatessen stocking a selection of fine Scottish products, plus womenswear, menswear, gifts and interiors departments, there is something for everyone at Brodie Country Fare. There is also an excellent café on-site.

Campbells & Co. of Beauly is a family-owned business that was established 1858.  It specialises in tweeds suitable for sport and county wear, as well as all items of Highland dress and has its own tailoring staff on-site. Campbells & Co. also stock the finest quality cashmere and lambswool knitwear as well as a range of scarves, stoles, tweed hats, gloves and travel rugs.

Glasstorm in Tain is one of the UK’s most exciting glass studios. The studio creates unique artworks as well as its own range of functional glassware. Many of the company’s unique works have been exhibited in prominent museums and galleries and are held in both private and public collections.

Jail Dornoch is situated in the centre of the village in the former 19th century jail. Opened in 2000, the Jail Dornoch has 5000 square feet of retail space stocked with a fine selection of clothing, accessories, arts and gifts. This is the best place in Dornoch to stock up on great British brands like Barbour and Hunter.

Johnstons of Elgin is the name in cashmere. The world-renowned brand has an excellent store in Elgin – just over 90 minutes’ drive from Links House. The shop is stocked with fine cashmere knitwear, accessories and homeware. This is the perfect place to stock up on luxury knits for the winter.

The Sutherland Sporting Company in Lairg is a purveyor of fine tweeds and tartans and, indeed, is the manufacturer of the Links House tweed. This family-run business specialises in the hand-tailoring of all Scottish tweeds and pore cashmeres and also sells quality country clothing with a focus on Scottish Tweed as well as a great selection of woollen socks, scarfs and capes etc.
