Links House hosts Senior Ladies Golfing Greats

Several notable legends from UK Ladies Golf visited Links House last week as part of the 2014 Senior Ladies Amateur British Open. Links House Proprietor, Todd Warnock, hosted Sue Westall, current and 3-time Ladies 65+ English Senior Amateur Champion to a spirited 2 ball match on Friday September 20th which ending appropriately in a draw on the 18th! Mrs. Westall was accompanied by Ladies Golfing Legend Anne Smith who has retired from play but gave the match thoughtful advice and lore. Mrs. Smith, a member of the 1976 Curtis Cup (Royal Lytham) and 1975 British Commonwealth (Ganton) teams, was the 1973 Ladies British Open Stoke Play Champion. Further, Mrs. Smith began her career as 1965 British Girls Campion (18 and under) at Formby.
