Meet the team who are responsible for delivering impeccable service at one of the most luxurious Scottish Highlands Hotels.

Links House General Manager

Nick Gorton, General Manager

Nick joined the Links House team in May 2018 as General Manager following a 30 year career at Inver Lodge in Lochinver. Nick's experience in the Highlands is second to non and his kind, gentle customer service orientation is the perfect complement to the Links House Team. Nick is responsible for the overall guest experience and looks forward to meeting new and regular visitors to Links House. Nick grew up in Cornwall, having attended Newquay School. Graduating from Cornwall College, Catering with an O.N.D. in Hotel Management. He is a member of the Institute of Hospitality, a member of the Chartered Management Institute and past Board Member of C.A.S.E. (HIE) for 5 years. Nick has also served for many years as a judge for the Scottish Hotel Awards.

Melissa Anderson, Operations ManagerMelissa Anderson Assistant Manager Links House Dornoch

Melissa is the key team member responsible for the standards of service at Links House. Melissa has thorough understanding of all departments and is responsible for leading this team effort in delivering the renowed "Life at Links'' ethos for each of our guests. Born and bred in Dornoch, Melissa has grown up playing the links of Royal Dornoch Gof Club since the age of 5, she knows the local area inside out and will be delighted to recommend nearby places to visit or alternative local courses to play. No matter how small your request may be Melissa and the team will be on hand to ensure we meet and endeavour to exceed your expectations and deliver an experience you will return for time and time again.

Javier Dominguez Santos, Head Chef.

Javi joined Links House in 2018 from The Rocpool Reserve in Inverness as our new Head Chef.  A prodigy of the Roux stable, Javi has made a name for  himself on stages at Le Gavroche and The Waterside Inn culminating in the Head Chef role at The Rocpool Reserve. As a member of the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts since 2014 and winner of a Highlands and Islands Tourism Award, Javi brings to Links House a wealth of local and International experience.

Beata Pett, Head Housekeeper

Beata  is Polish and came to Scotland in 2004 joining  the Kingsmills Hotel in Inverness first as Housekeeper and was promoted to  Head  Housekeeper.  She stayed at Kingsmills for 10 years and joined Links House in April 2014  as a Housekeeper. She has been awarded the Young Ambassador of the Year at the Highland and Islands Tourism Awards in 2008.

Apart from her time away when she had her daughter Isla and her son Harry, Beata has been with us throughout this time and has been an instrumental part of our growth and success. She  was recently promoted to Head Housekeeper leading a team of 5. Beata has delivered exceptionally high standards of presentation across our 3 buildings, ensuring that each of our 14 rooms is maintained to the highest level  and  this is always reflected in our reviews and guest comments. She is a core member of the management team and always goes above and beyond her brief to ensure guest satisfaction.  She is devoted to her family both here in Scotland and in Poland

Fraser Carruth -Master of the House

Fraser joined us in 2014 as a front of house butler. He is a trained chef having studied in Switzerland and has a diploma in business management. His claim to fame is that he once cooked for Prince Charles. Fraser has over 50 years in the hotel industry and was the youngest chef to appear in the Good Food Guide.

Fraser owned and managed his own hotel in Wiltshire for 20 years before returning to Scotland in 2011. He is also a trained point to point jockey,  has competed in one and three day eventing and  still has a love of horses and is a regular judge at the local county show each summer. His other passion is for his gun dogs and he has 2 wonderful Labradors. Fraser has an excellent knowledge of wine, malt whisky and Scottish Gins which he enjoys sharing with our guests
