Links House at Royal Dornoch Win 7 Awards at the Scottish Hotel Awards
Links House at Royal Dornoch has won a record 7 awards at the prestigious 2019 regional Scottish Hotel Awards covering the Highlands & Islands and North East of Scotland.
The regional awards ceremony was held on Tuesday January 16th at Bunchrew House Hotel in Inverness. Winners will carry on to the 2019 national Scottish Hotel Awards to be held in Edinburgh on Sunday April 28th.
After winning in 3 regional awards in 2018, Links House enjoyed further success this year winning a total of 7 awards, of which 5 were hotel-related and 2 were People of Excellence awards.

- People of Excellence Deputy Manager of the Year – Melissa Anderson
- People of Excellence F&B Manager of the Year – Fraser Carruth
The Links House restaurant had a particularly successful year winning multiple awards. In addition to the Fine Dining Restaurant Hotel of the Year, Links House also won the Best Restaurant Experience at the 2018 Highlands & Islands Tourism Awards (HITA).
Additionally, Links House head chef won the “Creative Chef of the Year” at the 2018 Scottish Food Awards and junior chef Joni Matos was selected as Runner-up in the prestigious Roux Consultancy Young Highland Chef of the Year competition in conjunction with the University of Highlands & Islands.
The competition was held at Burghfield House, Dornoch and was juried by celebrity chefs including Albert Roux OBE, KFO, Glen Watson, Masterchef winner Derek Johnstone and Tony Singh MBE. Proprietor Todd Warnock said, “I am so very proud of our head chef and his entire team.
Our head chef’s goal is to establish the finest restaurant in the Highlands known for extraordinary local cuisine and customer service. We are all very excited for several new initiatives our head chef will be launching in 2019!”
