Links House – Welcome back for peace of mind

This day has been a long time coming for us all at Links House.

Since we bid farewell to our final guests of 2019 in early January, we had grand plans to launch Links House in March 2020 with two new food & beverage options, ready to deliver exceptional hospitality and our best ever year.  Sadly the events of the last three months meant our best laid plans need to wait.

Ever optimistic, we have found silver linings throughout this time and taken the opportunity to focus on how and what coming back to Links House will look like for both our guests and our team. Now the time is right to welcome our friends back through the famous blue door to enjoy our unique highland hospitality, comfortable luxury and five-star welcome.

Understandably, alterations to how we will deliver this have occured and due to the current climate we have made the decision to provide a B&B only offering at Links House for 2020.  This has been a heart wrenching decision to make as our new inhouse restaurant concept MARA, has been a labour of love for us all.

In place of your traditional morning dining experience in the restaurant, our Food & Beverage team have created what we describe as ‘A breakfast worth not getting out of bed for!’  You will be delivered a daily changing luxury hamper, brimming with handcrafted goodies to start your day.

Furthermore, we will still have a dining option for Links House guests!  The newly refurbished Courtroom & Courtyard in the centre of Dornoch was taken into the Links House family at the end of 2019 and provides a less formal but equally high quality offering.

Our entire sector has faced the most devastating period it has ever seen and we look for your trust in what we do best.  The commitment to providing our level of luxury and service has never been greater, combined with our passion as hospitality professionals to deliver on that commitment.

This has been an extremely tough time across the globe and whilst the safety of our guests and team are paramount, we also believe we have a huge responsibility to Scottish hospitality.  We are world renowned for ‘Highland Hospitality’ and that is not something we wish to compromise.

The etiquette of the epidemic is widely understood and we have retrained our team to observe and respect strict guidelines.  We trust that our valued guests will work with us and also respect and adapt to our plans.  Alterations to our ‘new luxury’ have been made with the Links House Guest Journey in mind, drawing on our experience to meet a very high level of guest expectation.

These challenging times are asking a great deal of how attentive and tactile we may be.  Welcoming handshakes will be replaced with socially distanced greetings and our ever present team may not be in sight but will always be available.  Rest assured, behind any personal protection, our warm smiles are there and we will make every effort satisfy your needs.

We understand there will be concerns surrounding your arrival to the hotel but we want to offer you the peace of mind that we have done everything to make your stay with us safe and comfortable…with just a few wee changes.

Quite simply, we would like you to put hospitality in our hands, start planning your trip to come back to the Highlands and experience Life at Links. Our ‘Peace of Mind’ statement is available here and if there are any questions left unanswered, feel free to contact our Guest Relations team on info@linkshousedornoch.com.
