Ringing in 2024: A Dornoch Hogmanay Celebration at Links House
Here in Dornoch it’s not New Year – it’s Hogmanay, and we’re thrilled to be planning the welcome 2024 in the best way possible.
The fun kicks off on December 30th, with welcome drinks and nibbles from 3pm. At 5pm, guests can head into dornoch to enjoy a whisky and cheese tasting session and discover the magic of the Carnegie Whisky Cellars and return home to Links House for a table d’hôte dinner with traditional Scottish live music from the talented ruckus ceilidh band from 7.30pm.
The 31st is yours to savour – start the day with a leisurely breakfast and fuel up for a day of adventures. Groups looking to head out and explore the Highlands region are well suited with our menu of pursuits to enjoy. Whether opting for lessons at the Highland Shooting Centre, hiking up Ben Bhraggie or enjoying a stroll along Dornoch Beach, you’ll be spoiled for choice. For courageous guests, we can even arrange for the lauded Haggis Hunt! If the weather is inclement or you’d rather just coorie in, we’ve got plenty to enjoy – opt for a personalised wine tasting, or simply enjoy time with your favourite people around our crackling fires before the festivities truly begin at 6.30pm.
We’ll start off the celebrations with live music from Ruckus Ceilidh Band, with plenty of champagne and canapes to enjoy. From 7pm, we’ll be serving an exquisite Gala Dinner – enjoy our much-loved tasting menu, filled with the very best Scottish Produce. The fun will continue with after dinner music from Ruckus, and from 11.30pm, we’ll head into town to take part in Dornoch’s World Famous Street Party. Take part in the countdown, and jig through the streets – we’ll be waiting for your first footing when it’s time to head home.
Start 2024 off on a leisurely note – we’ll be serving a hearty Bloody Mary Brunch from 10am, so whether you’re in the mood for a green juice, or something a little more substantial, we’ll make sure you’re well catered for. Those feeling brave enough can head to Dornoch Beach to partake in the famed Looney Dook at noon (don’t worry, we’ll be on-hand with the Robes) whilst those looking to relax will find plenty of fun here at Links House. From 2pm we’ll be toasting 2024 with a Champagne Tasting, ahead of an unmissable luxury Surf & Turf family style dinner. End the evening on a high with our iconic Links House Bingo and head to bed full of seasonal cheer.
Wake on January second to a leisurely breakfast, then head home, enjoying the memories of your time with us.
