Links House at The Open

Beverley writes : Glorious weather here at Royal Liverpool, Hoylake. Just watched my all time favourite golfer Tom Watson par the 8th hole, missing a birdie 3 by a whisker. His playing partners Jim Furyk and a very slimline Darren Clarke are also playing well.
Big crowds as always following Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods. My tip for this year is Rory in the hope that he will bring some British sporting success this summer.

Deerfield Academy Father and Son Exclusive Use

FatherSonLinks House was honoured to serve as the exclusive use headquarters recently of a jovial US-based Father-Son group. The group of 10 (5 fathers and 5 recent graduates of Deerfield Academy boarding school) used Links House exclusively for a week and energetically engaged in the magic of the Highlands. Rounds of golf at Royal Dornoch, Castle Stuart and Brora Golf Club, salmon fishing on the River Tay, trout fishing at the Dornoch Lochans and even a raucous awards diner at the Oystercatcher Restaurant under the amazing Northern Lights out in Portmahomack. Thanks for coming and we can’t wait for their return! Best wishes for college boys!

The Greatest Golfer at Royal Dornoch Golf Club

The greatest golfer

The greatest golfer

Jack Nicklaus visited Royal Dornoch Golf Club yesterday and played a round with the club pro’s Andrew and Gary. Word spread around the town and by the end of the game there were a good number of people following him including Beverley Navarro and a Links House guest. Great weather, glorious scenery and such a privilege for the onlookers to watch the greatest golfer ever! Dornoch at it’s best.
