Young Highland Chef of the Year 2016

We were delighted to host the judging panel of renown top chefs for the annual Young Highland Chef of the Year competition held in Dornoch on October 10th, a joint initiative between the North Highland College Catering School and Chez Roux Ltd. The chefs were joined by Monsieur Albert Roux for breakfast at Links House on competition day before heading up to the college. We have been proud to support this local initiative for young budding Highland chefs from its beginning 6 years ago. Huge congratulations to the winner James Huyton and runners up Keir Murray and Abraham Michelides.

Fishing on the Oykel

Imagine a couple days of Salmon fishing and tremendously great golf! Links House have 3 weeks of fishing available to its guests on The River Oykel. The Oykel is considered to be amongst the best Salmon fishing in all of Scotland and is often booked up years in advance. Links House has purchased one week in Spring, Summer and Autumn and is making it available to our guests. Specifically, in 2017 we have 4 rods per day for the weeks of:

Spring Week – May 1st-6th, 2017, Summer Week -July 3rd-8th, 2017, Autumn Week – September 11th-16th, 2017
